A new exciting project that works with Muslims aged 16-25, developing leadership skills and encouraging community volunteering. Introduction to scripture reading:

In our religious traditions, both Christians and Muslims have the practise of beginning their meetings with scripture readings. It’s a noble tradition since we believe that our sacred texts are a source of perennial guidance, intellectual inspiration and poignant reminder of our purpose in life. The sacred texts are not only supreme authority for religious teachings but a source of divine mercy and light something we direly need in our age of materialism.

We praise our Lord the Merciful, the Gracious and we send blessings upon all the Prophets, Messengers, Teacher and Guides.

This blessed Ramadan was a programme for curing the cancer of the heart. Human beings are made of the physical body & spirit. The human body is prone to so many diseases; one that is very scary and almost incurable yet is cancer. It is painful, spreads like fire and eventually kills. The human heart like the body also becomes diseased, it’s cancer can be deadly too. This cancer of the heart takes different forms; forgetfulness of God, arrogance, greed and jealously and hatred....

In this paper I will be exploring the following three aspects of Christian – Muslim relations:

  1. What is the nature of Christian-Muslim relations: Theological arguments.
  2. A brief survey of activities and programmes promoting Christian Muslim relations.
  3. What more can be done.
